Application and Selection Process
There are multiple rounds to the K-L YES application and selection process. All applicants must submit a preliminary application, give a phone interview, attend an English proficiency exam, write some proctored essays, complete a K-L YES program application, and participate in group and individual in-person interviews. All finalists are selected based on merit.
Step 1: Preliminary Application
- Apply for the program online by visiting the iEARN-Bangladesh (www.iearnbd.org) website.
- Attest the required documents from a first-class gazetted government official or a school official, scan them, and upload them to your online application.

- Download and print the application form from the iEARN-Bangladesh (www.iearnbd.org) website.
- Attest the required documents from a government or a school official and include them in your preliminary application package.
- Submit the completed preliminary application form with the required documents by post or hand to the iEARN-Bangladesh office within the deadline mentioned on the iEARN-Bangladesh website and Facebook page.
Step 2: Phone Interview
After screening preliminary applications according to the eligibility criteria, the eligible candidates will be invited to participate in a phone interview. The interview will be around 3 minutes long and is designed to test applicants on their aptitude for self and cultural knowledge. More details about the interview will only be sent out to the eligible candidates.
Step 3: Online ELTiS Test (ELTiS 2.0) and In-class Essays
- Qualified candidates from the phone interview will take the Online ELTiS Test (ELTiS 2.0) and write in-class essays.
- ELTiS stands for English Language Test for International Students. The test has two parts: Listening (30 minutes) and Reading (45 minutes).
- Students must write three in-class essays. They will get 15 minutes to complete each essay.
Step 4: Final Application & Interview
- Students who qualify in the Online ELTiS Test (ELTiS 2.0) and In-Class Essay round will submit the Final Application.
- Students who submit the Final Application will be asked to participate in a Final Interview. The Final Interview has two parts: Group and Individual Interviews.
After Final Application and Interviews:
A list of Finalists and Alternates will be announced from the YES Program. The Finalists will be notified and will have to attend an Enhancement Activity, Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) and Travel Orientation before travelling to the U.S. All the YES Program activities are compulsory for the Finalists.
আবেদন ও বাছাই প্রক্রিয়া
১ম ধাপ: প্রাথমিক আবেদন
যাচাই করে দেখুন যে প্রোগ্রামে আবেদনের পূর্বশর্তগুলি আপনার ক্ষেত্রে প্রযোজ্য কিনা।
- অনলাইনে আবেদন করার জন্য iEARN-Bangladesh ওয়েবসাইট (www.iearnbd.org) এ ভিসিট করতে হবে।
- প্রয়োজনীয় কাগজপত্র একজন ফার্স্ট ক্লাস গেজেটেড অফিসার বা স্কুলের কর্মকর্তার কাছ থেকে সত্যায়িত করতে হবে। এরপর সেই কাগজপত্র স্ক্যান করে অনলাইন আবেদন এর সাথে আপলোড করতে হবে।

iEARN-Bangladesh ওয়েবসাইট থেকে প্রাথমিক আবেদনপত্র ডাউনলোড করে প্রয়োজনীয় কাগজপত্রসহ ডাক/কুরিয়ার যোগে iEARN-Bangladesh অফিস এ পাঠাতে হবে
২য় ধাপ: ফোন ইন্টারভিউ
প্রাথমিক আবেদন এর পর যোগ্যতার ভিত্তিতে তালিকা প্রকাশ করা হবে এবং যোগ্যতার তালিকা অনুযায়ী ফোন ইন্টারভিউ-এর জন্য আমন্ত্রণ জানানো হবে। ইন্টারভিউ অন্তত ৩-মিনিট দীর্ঘ হবে এবং এই ইন্টারভিউ তে আবেদনকারীদের সাধারণ এবং সাংস্কৃতিক জ্ঞান যাচাই করা হবে। ইন্টারভিউয়ের বিস্তারিত ফলাফল শুধুমাত্র উত্তীর্ণ প্রার্থীদের পাঠানো হবে।
৩য় ধাপ: অনলাইন ELTiS পরীক্ষা (২.০) এবং In-class Essays
- ফোন ইন্টারভিউ তে উত্তীর্ণ সীমিত সংখ্যক প্রার্থীবৃন্দ অনলাইন ELTiS পরীক্ষা এবং In-class Essays লিখা তে অংশগ্রহণ করবে।
- ELTiS এর পূর্ণরূপ হলো English Language Test for International Students। এর দুটি অংশ রয়েছে: Listening (৩০ মিনিট) এবং Reading (৪৫ মিনিট)
- প্রার্থীদের ৩ টি In-class Essays লিখতে হবে। প্রতিটি Essay এর জন্য ১৫ মিনিট করে সময় বরাদ্দ থাকবে।
৪র্থ ধাপ: চূড়ান্ত আবেদন এবং ইন্টারভিউ
- চূড়ান্ত আবেদন: ELTiS পরীক্ষা এবং In-class Essays পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ প্রার্থীরা চূড়ান্ত আবেদনপত্র জমা দেবে।
- ইন্টারভিউ: যে সব আবেদনকারী রা চূড়ান্ত আবেদনপত্র জমা দিবে তাদের কে ফাইনাল ইন্টারভিউ এর জন্য আমন্ত্রণ করা হবে। ইন্টারভিউ এর দুই (২) টি অংশ : Group এবং Individual।
ইন্টারভিউয়ের পরে: YES Program, থেকে Finalist ও Alternate প্রার্থীদের তালিকা ঘোষণা করা হবে। শুধুমাত্র Finalist দেরকে যুক্তরাষ্ট্রে যাওয়ার আগে বাধ্যতামূলক Enhancement Activity, Pre-Departure Orientation (PDO) এবং Travel Orientation-এ অংশগ্রহণ করার জন্য অবহিত করা হবে।
